We’re proud to announce the Tech22 Tour! We are connecting ākonga (learners) and the tech sector – leading through our digital future. Tech22 is a guided tour of the Wynyard Quarter Innovation Precinct to visit leading tech companies and explore tech careers.
We know there is a tech job to suit everyone and want to show learners there’s more to working in tech than just coding! As the demand for digital skills remains high, we need to ensure Year 11-13 learners are supported in pursuing tech careers. This provides an opportunity for school leavers to join our fastest growing and highest paid sector.
The Tech22 Tour is hosting schools over two days in June and includes a guided tour of the Wynyard Quarter Innovation Precinct to:
- Visit leading tech companies to better understand what they do
- Discover exciting new technologies being used in the world today
- Inspire an interest in a tech career with interactive experiences
- Explore real life business spaces and the innovation precinct of Tāmaki Makaurau
- Provide an opportunity for learners to see and imagine their future tech career.
